Impact of Dynamic Traffic on Vehicle-to-Vehicle Visible Light Communication Systems

In this article we studies the impact of dynamic vehicular traffic density on signal-to-noise-ratio and associated bit-error-rate (BER) performance vehicle-to-vehicle visible light communication (V2V-VLC) systems. The uses data from M42 M6 motorways in U.K. to investigate probability coexistence other vehicles adjacent lanes, which induce interference act as potential reflectors. results show that lanes is lane-independent it increases during rush hours 90%, while decays less than 10% off-peak early morning hours. intervehicular distance BER vary widely between different periods day. also V2V-VLC system with non-line-of-sight (NLOS) component LOS are comparable at However, high values predicted for NLOS components channel.
